Question W2K's "Virtual DOS"?

Running under W2K (Pro), I recently changed Drive C: from
FAT 16 to FAT 32.

I understand that I can no longer use DOS with FAT 32. What is the story with W2K's "virtual DOS?" How usable is it compared to "regular" DOS?

Thanks for any feedback....

Well if you only use Win 2K then it is highly recommended to change once again the file system, from FAT32 to NTFS.

Win2K's command line. . well, most DOS games should play fine except for the sound, which is the biggest problem. I had no problems running my DOS games in Win2K or XP, they played at their normal speed, but the sound wasn't accurate anymore.

FAT32 is only good for partitioning, NTFS is alot more stable and secure.

I wish they made a sound DOS emulator for NT based OS's

You can partition a hard drive with NTFS, too.

There is a DOS sound emulator, VDMsound. It's quite good, but not yet perfect.
