Win Xp Coa
Take a look at the pic.

That means XP can support up to 2 CPUs in the same machine, aka multiprocessor. For more than 2 CPUs you need another version of Windows.
XP Home can only support 1 processor. But no, it doesn't mean more than one machine.

hyperthreading would be the same as dual cpu's as far as the system and motherboard suppoets it too.
