Msconfig
well guys here is the story.. I was trying to stop certain programs from starting up when i boot up my PC. I went into the msconfig and uncheck a few programs. rebooted and nothing came back up. The system wont get passed checking nvram...... I am not able to access my floppy drive or my cdrom. it just stays there and says CHECKING NVRAM. Is this relating to me messing with ms config or something else. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP......

I am not a qualified tech but since your computer isn't reaching the point that it is installing from MSCONFIG I think the two things are unrelated. If you're not getting through the memory check perhaps it's....memory. If you're running more than one stick, try removing one and then the other and see what happens.
If it's not getting passed the memory check then it shouldn't be your hard drive or your MSCONFIG. |

Have you messed with any BIOS settings before the freeze? NVRAM = video card. Do you have a spare video card to put in the system to see if things can boot up normally?
