Dos prompt in XP
Just a curious question, not of great importance:
Ive noticed that I can't access certain dos programs (ipconfig, edit.com, etc), without changing to the directory where the programs are (c:\windows\system32\). Usually i was able access those programs from whatever directory i was in, in the past. im guessing it may have to do with the Enviroment variables. any ideas on this?

Go to Control Panel > System > Advanced > Environment Variables, make sure that %SystemRoot%\System32\ is in your Path variable.

Alright it worked. Hehe now i know why it got screwed up. when i was trying to use the java compiler, i set the path directly into the java folder, to use the commands directly. since i got eclipse....don't need that anymore!
