cab files

Good evening folks...I am trying to put my cab files on my hard drive...when I get to current version source path it reads "c:\nvidia\nfprcewin98me\2.41\audio.drv" now I know I am supposed to right click and modify G(my C-d rom) to C and click ok and close regedit....BUT I know it posed to say something other than what is there..Does anyone know what is sapposed to be there and how do I change it or will it be allright to modify it as it is????????On my other computer it says "C\windows\system\precopy"----Any and all help here would be appreciated...TIA.

Change it to c:\win98 - and make that folder and dump the cabs in there. If you'd rather put them somewhere else, that's fine, just make sure the entry matches.

Thanks glc..I already have a folder with the files in,what i want to do is change the source path in the directory to reruot (please insert disk).. c:\nvidia\nfprcewin98me\2.41\audio.drv is the source path now..

Thos is what I do to do that
1.regedit
2. go to hkey local machine
3.go to software
4.go to microsoft
5.go to windows
6.go to current version
7.go to setup(highlight)
8. go to source path-right click-modify,change D to C:,click ok
9.close regedit
I have done this many times and it works well, but this is the first time with what I have here as the source path...I hope this make sence because now I'm getting confused..GaryD

Change it to the actual path to your cabs. What you have doesn't look right, why would you put the cabs into the Nforce audio driver folder?
