Cant get comp to boot up
I have windows xp, recently installed a scrabble game, and I think it messsed it up someway. I was able to play it, but when I shutdown, I cant start up again. I get the black screen with a bunch of white lettering.
I dont remember exactly what the error message was, but it said. "It can not start and to try again in safe mode". but not even safe mode will work. I can get into the bios, is there somthing there to mess with to start up the comp? |

Can you get to the boot choice screen by pressing F8? If so, try Last Known Good Configuration.

No, it's the same way you get into safe mode - when you first see the Windows crawl screen. I don't see what the bios would have to do with this, as it was working before with no changes.

OK Tried that, didn't work, same thing happens
It says windows can not start, check to see hardware or software problems. (thats where installation of scrabble comes in) Thats when it messed up. it also says unmountable boot volume |
