Windows Explorer questions (XP)

How can I get my windows explorer to act like W2K? Or where can I get it to act how I want it to? I already tried the folder options.

I really tried to give XP windows explorer the chance but it keeps crashing on me.

If you want it to look like 2K then taskbar properties/ startmenu and the appearance tab under display properties should both be set to classic view.

If instablility is your concern (b/c of it crashing) then you may have to sfc or repair install to correct the explorer problems.

?? where do you find "taskbar properties/ startmenu and the appearance tab under display properties" ?

I do have it under the 'classic view' found under folder options.

Sorry I type fast sometimes and I just expect ppl to know, my bad.

Right click on your taskbar and goto properties, then goto the "start menu" tab and make sure "classic start menu" is selected. Apply and OK.

Right click on your desktop and goto properties, click on the "appearances" tab and make sure "windows and buttons" and "color scheme" are both selected as windows classic. Apply and OK it and see how it looks.
