help regarding O/s select menu

hello everyone,
I had previously installed 2 O/s (Win 98se in Drive C & Win xp in Drive D) in my machine. A few days ago I formatted C drive and installed Win 2000 in the same drive. The problem is I still get the option Win Xp in the O/S selection option though I had installed Win 2000. I tried to search in the registry file but no luck.

Is there a way to remove this option screen? Please help me. Thanks!

Welcome to PCMECH Eye_Balls!

Open up the boot.ini file and see if you have an entry there for Windows XP. If you do, remove it.
You can also run a repair installation of Windows 2000 and that may solve your problem.

If 2000 is installed on C and XP is installed on D, you *should* have both available in the menu. If you select XP and it doesn't work, you have to repair XP.
