I always use the Add/Remove programs in the control panel. Then do a search for Norton and one for Symantec to remove any strays. If you have a good registry cleaning/fixing tool run that after the removal process.

Lightbulb Removal Tools

The BEST possible way I have found after many re-installs of any Norton product is to go to www.symantec.com and do a search for removal tools. Many times I have tried ADD/REMOVE only to find on a re-install there were still files left behind. And yes, before you ask, even after manual incinerating of program files. Enough to make you go bonkers. What happens is that Norton products have hidden files and reg keys that can't be found on a search (I'm guessing, so correction is welcome).

After using the removal tools from Symantec, nothing is left behind. Try it out and let me know if it helps. I would save you the time and give you a direct link, but that means my sleepy head has to do the search all over again LOL. I will see what I can do if you don't find it or maybe even get the file to you. I think there may even be a couple tools to use if I remeber correctly. Don't hate me, I drive long hours and I am exhausted.

Don't know if it's on the '04 CD, or on just NAV CDs, but on System Works CDs there is usually a utility to fully remove the program(s). It should be listed in the manual under trouble shooting or installation problem section(s).

Talking Found what you need

Ok, just got home off the road... tired, and burned out, but in less than five minutes I found where you need to be (EM1999Si) LOL. Check out the following link and expand the area you need (i.e. Installed as a stand alone, part of a package, etc.) Inside there you will find each procedure to take to uninstall and also the correct removal tool to download for NAV '04 Pro.

Unhappy DOH!

Uhm, I told you I was tired... just looked at the thread again and I see that you had a link in your reply. Hmmmm, maybe I should just retire the CDL License and stay home for a while LOL. Any way, it is in there if you expand the section you need (not being a smart alec, but click on the + sign in the yellow box. hey, these days you never know if someone realizes that or not ) If you still need help let me know and I will do what I can.
