Date & Time
Hi
Does anyone know how to display the date, time and day of the week in the taskbar? WinXP Pro Doug |

Right-click the taskbar, select Properties, and check Show Clock, click OK.
This will display the clock, if you move your mouse over the clock, the date will appear in a tooltip. I don't know if there is a way to display the date in the taskbar too. |

got that sussed, i know there is a way i jut can't remember how, will search the microsoft site. Its not for me but my wife who saw it on someones pc and would find it useful. Doug |

After you've enabled the clock, you can right click the taskbar, uncheck "Lock the taskbar" then you can drag it up, and make it bigger:
Normal size - Shows time 2x size - Shows time & Day (Friday/Sat/...) 3x size - Shows time & day & date I keep it at 2x size, since it isn't too big, and I hate it when all my windows get all squashed up, so I cant read, and have to guess which one to click. ![]() Edit: Grrrr.... I make too many spelling mistakes when I'm imaging the drive, and it takes 4sec per char to update on screen Last edited by rcx21000; 04-02-2004 at 06:58 AM. |
