I read in another thread some advice to activate XP but not to register it. I've always registered it when I activated.
What are the pro's and con's about registering? Chas

Registering just gives M$ your e-mail address so that they can spam you.
From M$: "Product registration provides Microsoft with information that facilitates product support and allows us to provide you with the most appropriate new product and product update announcements."
