Windows Xp vs. home edition (difference?)
Im working on my first build and while looking at operating systems (definitely going with xp) I noticed that there were two editions. On my current computer I run the home edition, but for the extra money is there that much of a difference with Xp pro.

No. Not really. Most users that have Pro don't even use its few unique features that make it stand apart from Home. I would save the money and get Home.

Same here... I can't be bothered with the extra expense for some of the file security features. I'm hardware/software firewalled and my machine is open to anybody in my home... so why bother spending more.
