Group Policies
A friend of mine recently bought a small network (3 PCs - 2 XP Pro + 1 Win2000) for a small company of his.
I remember is Win98 you could set up group policies to prevent certain users accessing certain areas - control panel etc. I was dumbfounded when I found out that winXP doesn't allow this!! Seems that Win2000 ain't to keen on it either. What can I do to create group policies. Its something he really needs to activate, at least on the win2000 pc? Thanks for the help. |

Oh but XP and 2K do allow group policies and is far better than any 9x OS I might add
start > run type gpedit.msc http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000...groupsteps.asp
