HELP.. XP Problems - loading IE

after I installed SPYBOT and then scan my friends HDD, it found pprox 320+ problems, I deleted all of them.. plus several apps from add/remove programs - each application I confirmed by searching on the internet for, that they were spyware etc.

After re-booting his PC, XP came up, and when I tried to launch IE it would work, then I tried to find it in the add/remove programs couldn't find plus I could see the winXP -SP1's they weren't there either!

Any Idea what I have done wrong, and what can I do to fix this?

If you think your spybot search broke something you can launch spybot and click on recovery and it should put things back before you ran it.

Thks, I forgot about that aspect of SpyBot! The problem is.. is that after I left his place, both him and his wife, decided to 'have a go' at it... first thing they said they did was to uninstall 'Spybot'!

I spoke to him last nite, told him to go into window componants in add/remove s/ware.. and do a repair on IE.

Any other suggestions? They are also saying that there PC (even though when I was there, it had started to have a quicker pickup!) they are saying it is really slow now!

Aaaagggghhhh! The things U do for friends! This is the first time I have had this problem. Mind U this is the first time I have left a pc AT ABOUT 90% COMPLETE.
