Personalised setting not being saved !
hi there,
I have noticed that when i change things on my desktop, for e.g, arranged icons in certain manner or change the window size of a music folder and place to to the left of the desktop it never save these settings after i log in again at a later point. (im logging off/shuting down normally and not just restarting the machine after these changes). how can i make it save these personalised changes. i'm loggin in as admin (with passowrd). using WinXp pro. thanks. |

If you right click on a blank area on the desktop you can get to Arrange Icons from the menu that pops up.
The catch is that you have a limited number of ways to arrange them. Judging from you're post you're trying to be a little more creative then XP allows. About the music file. You can create a seperate music file for your desktop or you can put a shortcut to your music file on your desktop. I think the latter is the better idea. Once you've installed the shortcut you can size the windows' music folder to your liking. It's placement, however, would follow the same limits as any other desktop Icon. In your place I would pop-up Arrange Icons and play around with it till I got a set up I liked. Just remember to leave "Show Desktop Icons" checked so XP doesn't disappear them and that if you choose size it's the smallest files, the shortcuts, that will be near the top of the screen. |
