Just one question. Why? To directly answer your question, no, it is not that simple. In order for a drive to be able to boot an OS, the drive must be a master drive. You can only have 1 master per IDE channel. Usualy you can only have 2 OSs on the same comp. If you get XP though, you pretty much cover all the bases that most users will ever need.

Ahh - four partitions. These days, people do that for games, but I would also like to question...why? I'm sure all the games can be accomplished in one, maybe two OSes (WinXP and Win2000). Also, I highly disrecommend WinME. It has known scare people away from MS OSes for some time (that's when Apple started profitting). WinME is extremely unstable, in my opinion, and is still a wonder why its still on sale...

Hope that helps,
kram

I didn't say anything... lol. I guess if you use the boot loader mentioned in the article you could have four different HD's with 4 differ OS's.

Not sure I understand you, QS, but if I read you right, my system that does work shouldn't. I have two hard drives set to Cable Select on an 80 wire cable. The one in the master position has XP Home on it and is partitioned into 6 partitions. The second drive has 98se on it and I can select to boot from it at any start or restart by holding the ESC key and it will display all my boot options, including opticals. That's just a feature of my mobo and doesn't work on others.
