Right click on the hard drive in my computer and goto sharing. Then click the "do not share this folder"

That is what I do.

How do I stop the W2K pc from sharing the drives permanently?

Every time I restart sharing comes back up. And now it doesn't have to restart, I left it on for a day and they reverted back.

I should also state before anyone asks; I have run Norton AV and Trend Micro's housecall (and the long running dos based one). As well as Ad-Aware 6. All with the latest updated versions. Found nothing.

Are you sure it's not just the admin share (share name with a $ in it)? If that's it, this is by design, it's not a user accessible share.

I don't know if this helps, but maybe you can mess around with it to unshare the drive. Remove permissions or something. I don't know, sorry. Good Luck.

It does have the $ in it. So I was trying to defeat something that shouldn't be worried about?

Thanks.

Only worry about it if you are really paranoid.
