XP bluescreen? and other problems

Ok, So i got a new computer with xp and I partitioned the HD, everything was fine so far. Once I installed a CDRW drive, that's when weird things started to happen. First, I cannot get my optical mouse (usb) to work anymore, So i'm using a ps2 mouse. I tried to delete the mouse information in the Device manager hoping it would just reset with plug and play... still it doesn't work. Then today I got this blue screen that said something like: _IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL ... and it explained that something may be wrong with some hardware in my system (my cdrw drive works fine btw)... so i just restarted my computer and its working fine... what should I do? what could be the problem?
thanks.

the most comman cause of the _IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
is faulty ram down load doc memory from http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/fil...d,20541,00.asp and test your ram

I made a boot disk with that program and it doesn't seem to work after trying several disks. When I restart my computer it just tells me to remove the disk.

Another memory test program that I recommend. Try it out.
