messed up installing win xp home

hey guys

i somehow messed up installing win xp home on a new build (it ended up on a different hard drive than i had intended),
and was wondering if any of you could offer any advice/info on the following questions:

1. can i somehow move all of the installed windows components to the other drive without screwing stuff up?

2. when i was installing it, i don't recall the windows setup program asking me where i wanted it to put win xp. the computer was being built in our basement, and i typically start the setup program & then leave it to do its thing, checking it every 5 minutes or so to see how it's doing & whether it needs any info from me. did i maybe miss some dialog box that timed out & automatically chose an option for me? i'm not sure if i was just distracted & missed something. how can i make sure that the setup program puts windows on the right drive? (sorry if this is a really dumb question)

3. after installing win xp, i installed suse linux and its swap partition on another 2 partition on the first hard drive. if i do need to reinstall windows because of my mistake above, is there going to be a lot of drive letter shifting-around that will make it hard to keep track of which partitions linux & its swap file are on? i don't want to mess up the linux that's on there, and when i'm using the formatting utility to wipe the hd, i'm worried about losing track of the partitions.

any advice about this would be appreciated.

4. regarding windows activation, is there some limit to the number of times you can activate a copy of windows before microsoft stops you? is it unlimited as long as it's on the same machine? how does this activation stuff work, limitation-wise?
if reinstalled, this would be the 3rd activation on this computer in a week.

thanks, guys!
