Pissed Cd rom drive not working !

hi there,

i tried installing Roxio Easy Cd creator with an XP update but it didnt work properly so i decided to uninstall it. after that my DVD rom and Cd writer are not working no longer. under device manager the 2 drives are listed as 'yellow exclaimation marks' and in properties it reads ;

'Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19).'

i uninstalled and re-installed but same thing happens.

wats wrong here and how can i fix this ....?

thanks

Try a system restore, i.e. restore your system back to the time before you installed the software.

System restore not appropriate, this is a known issue.
