Hi Jim:
Have you gone through this and used the fastbuild utility? Section 5.2.1-1 contains details of installation on a new system and 5.2.1-2 contains details of installation on an existing XP system. http://217.160.208.211/soltek/downlo...5FRN2-RAID.pdf |

Thanks for the help, I had gone through the manuel (a lot).
But help when you zeroed in on one spot, I still was confused for a while, but after reading it 5 or 6 times, I started to understand what to do. I seem to be ok now, have xp installed on one 10gb partition, my 2 hard drives are reconized as one. So as far as I can tell, I am ok, not hook to the internet with it yet, want to hook a router so I can have 2 computers at home with just the one internet connection. Thanks a bunch, it was much appreciated. ![]() ![]()

One thing you really have to make sure is that the onboard RAID controller is enabled through a jumper. I was working on a system one time that had onboard RAID, the default was "Enable" for the RAID jumper. Turns out when ASUS sent me the motherboard, it was put on "Disable". I'm sure somebody provided you with instructions on how to setup RAID.
^^ only if you have onboard RAID and not a third party RAID controller. Just have your RAID drivers handy and your good to go. |
