BSOD Stop: 0x0000004e
My friend has received a BSOD on his recently upgraded machine.
He added a new hard drive and installed XP Pro. Ramdomly latly he has been receiving this BSOD: STOP: 0x0000004e (0x00000007, 0x00010e50, 0x00000001, 0x00000000) STOP 0x0000004E PFN_LIST_CORRUPT I have done some research and it points to the RAM being the problem?? Is this correct? He upgraded his RAM from 64Mb to 256Mb last year. I have no specific specs on the computer although i do know it is a packard bell PC. I believe this is the link to the Packard Bell Website with all the information i could find about the PC. All thoughts welcome MattPackard Bell |

Sorry i dont have any specific help for your problem, but this is a link to a discussion about someone with a similar problem:
http://forums.techguy.org/showthread...5&page=1&pp=15 it looks like at the end it was a case of bad ram, so if you can try and switch it for another stick and see if it helps. mike |

Make sure he got RAM that is compatable with the motherboard.
If you don't know what RAM to get, go to www.crucial.com and run their Memory Configurator thing. It's great. |
