BSOD Stop: 0x0000004e

My friend has received a BSOD on his recently upgraded machine.

He added a new hard drive and installed XP Pro.

Ramdomly latly he has been receiving this BSOD:

STOP: 0x0000004e (0x00000007, 0x00010e50, 0x00000001, 0x00000000)

STOP 0x0000004E PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

I have done some research and it points to the RAM being the problem??

Is this correct?

He upgraded his RAM from 64Mb to 256Mb last year.

I have no specific specs on the computer although i do know it is a packard bell PC.

I believe this is the link to the Packard Bell Website with all the information i could find about the PC.

All thoughts welcome MattPackard Bell

Sorry i dont have any specific help for your problem, but this is a link to a discussion about someone with a similar problem:

it looks like at the end it was a case of bad ram, so if you can try and switch it for another stick and see if it helps.

Make sure he got RAM that is compatable with the motherboard.

If you don't know what RAM to get, go to www.crucial.com and run their Memory Configurator thing. It's great.
