You will need to go into your BIOS and set your CD drive as your first boot device. Please refer to your motherboard manual for more details on how to access your BIOS.

Hello,
Do you want to enter XP setup? If so, you need to go into the BIOS and change the boot sequence to CD-ROM being #1, so when you boot up, the PC will boot from the CD-ROM drive and not floopy or the hard drive. Hope that helps. Statica- You beat me to it . I was typing, and the college connection is slow right now, so you beat me by one minute

Yes you can boot from the XP CD, pop it in htere and restart and see if it works, if not you have to go into your BIOS, the setup right after you power on the PC, usually by pressing a the del, or F1, or F2 key, and in there look through the pages till you find boot options and set it to look for cdrom ahead of the harddrive, than save settings and restart, then it should work..
