remote connection through phone line
How do I connect a computer to a W2K server, if the server is not in a direct number but a line, where you first have to call the operator and then she communicates you with the correct internal line.
All the remote connections are set up properly, but what if the server is not connceted to a direct line? |

No way to do it as far as I know. Your pc can't "speak" to the operator to get her to forward the call. 30 bucks a month will get you a direct line from the phone company.

If a human answers you are limited. I am thinking though that some external modems might have a feature that will allow you to establish a data connection after you have already made a voice call. Good luck! |
