Administrative password

Hi guys,
I need to remove Grub (os loader) from my hard drive, and the only way I can do it is by booting from my XP disk, typing "r" after everything loaded, then typing "fixmbr". After I press r however, I have to enter my administrative password. I didn't have one, so I logged back into XP, and created a password for myself under the user account menu, but it still won't work. I am the only one using this computer, so I figure the password I use to login to windows would be my administrative password, but it's apparently not, anyone know where I can find out what my password is?

Thank you
Dswissmiss

Did you try leaving it blank? When you first installed XP, it asked you to set a password. If you didn't set one, leave it blank. If you did, you'll have to remember it.

Hth,

I would strongly suggest that you do set a password to your Administrator account (administrative password). At the welcome screen (with user account list), press CTRL+ALT+DEL twice, log in as "Administrator" and your blank password; then go to the control panel and change the account password.

Changed passwords? Won't allow access when you are the only user?

Man! That sure sounds like an intruder to me. Virus free? Scanned for trojans? Clean of spyware/adware?
