Spyware infected :(
Hey. Ive been having alt of problems lately. Ive been told its spyware, so Ive went through the usuall, getting spy sweeper and spyware blaster. Running scans, it found alot of spyware on the computer, which were quarintened and i deleted. But im stil getting the same popups again and again. my mate that told me about what i might have said that spysweeper would get ri of it instantly, but no luck.
Because of this i tried reinstalling windows, but instead of makng a new one, it partitioned it so now ive got 2 windows XP's and it prompts me to open one ery time i boot up. im running the spysweeper now again cause im all out of ideas, ive attached a copy of what the popups look like. what can i do to get rid of these popups and to keep my comp flowing smoothly its a brand new computer) and since the partition its running quite slow with major lagging when i move a window. please help as it would be much apriciated |

Hello Minto86,
Download Spybot Search and Destroy & Adaware. Update both programs and scan for spyware and remove any spyware found. |

some of that adware/spyware is extremely persistent, and i have seen a few cases where it stops all internet access until it's completely cleaned. I found that the combination of the spyware programs on this thread worked for me. they all had to be up to date and done one after another.
http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread....3&highlight=cws try this thread, there's a few other cleaners that are worth trying. They all have to be up to date. hijackthis is effective. |

I tried ASEscanner aswell n that picked up alot of things but after the scan, closed itself, do you think thats because its a trial version or something?

for the screenshots u posted, i think u can eliminate those by disabling messenger in service
1. go to control panel 2. go to system click on computer management 3. click on service 4. find for messenger 5. click on stop 5. after click on disable |

try start-run-type in services. msc-go to messenger -double click-and click disable in drop down.if you haven't you might check -black viper site for tweaks for xp .
