Anyone out there know how to get rid of these annoying Messenger Service pop-ups? They come up even if my explorer is open or not.
Thanks! |

what os do you have? im not sure if it works the same on all windows versions but you can go to run and type in "services.msc" without the quotes and scroll down to where it says messages, right click it, choose properties, and where it says startup type, just choose manual or disable. i put mine on manual, but it should be ok to just disable all together.

Get a pop up blocker like the one included with Google, or you can FreeSurfer, a free down load. For the pop ups that ride in on windows messenger, go into control panel, click on administrative tools, click on services(the two little gears) find the messeneger in the right colunm and click on it and select stop.
