Pissed My picture folders are gone

I just bought a DVD burner and havent even tried it out yet. I installed the hardware and unistalled some other programs. I went to try out the DVD burner and put some pictures on cd. I went to the drag and drop utility and looked for my pictures in my pictures folder. My extra folders in the My Pictures folder are gone. The pictures I have in there that wernt in a seperate folder is still there. What happend to the ones in the seperate folders that were in My Pictures Folder? There not in the recycle ben and I didnt delete them and they were there yesterday and last night. Help! Is there any software that might recover the lost folders?

Have you tried using 'Search' In the Start Menu, to see if the file is just relocated?

You could try a System Restore, but it sounds like the folder is gone.

Try showing the hidden files. Tools>Folder Options>View>Show hidden files and folders.

i'm afraid your files might be gone... it'd be worth checking to see if they're hidden, but i doubt they are.
