XP Pro NTOSKRNL.EXE missing error in sata Pc
Hi.. plz help.
I have an infinity nf2 ultra board 1g corsair matched pair and amd xp-m 2500+. While tweaking with the bios to get more out of chip i hit range that would not boot, reset the bios and it booted but gave me the 'ntoskrnl missing or corrupt' error. Tried booting to dos with xp bootable but when i change to c: or any of the partitioned drives i get a drive not valid type msg (possibly due to it being sata?). Tried to use disk 1 of the 6 boot disks to reinstall and start again but it just loops round and round after telling me it is inspecting my hardware config. Any ideas ppl? Yours Hopefully Q |

Set your bios back to defaults and clock everything back to stock, zero wipe the drive with the manufacturer's utility and reinstall from scratch.
This is one of the possible consequences of overclocking, you just corrupted your hard drive. It's like hot rodding a car and blowing the engine by tweaking it too far. |
