Ghosting XP
Say I had 2 Windows XP disks, with 2 CD keys, and two computers with new hard drives. Now pretend I installed one copy onto one machine, then made an image of the hard drive. Now, say I tried to put the image on the other machine, meaning I have the same copy of XP on 2 machines. Would the new machine require that I use the CD key of the original machine or could I use the new one? Isn't each copy of XP coded to only allow the use of one certain CD key?

You also need to “pretend” that the two pc’s are identical. Otherwise, the second will choke when it see’s a bunch of new hardware. “If” it starts, windows will want you to reactivate it.
