Running: Windows XP; came installed on the comp
When I start my computer, it fully loads then a window opens and an error message appears that that C:\WINDOWS\I386\WINNTUPG\NETUPGRD.DLL is missing. I hit ok and then the window changes to somthing about installing Windows XP. I hit cancell and my comp runs fine. But it does this everytime I start my computer. Go here for print screens of the two pages: First page (error) Second page (windows install(i think)) Any ideas? |

Figured it out...it was actually a really nasty virus that had copied itself to about 20 files that it created!
Thanks!! |

Hi Marlox !
I have the same problem on my computer. This morning I turned it on and suddendly I got this "Installation screen" and I'm not installing anything, and I found a new coomand line on the msconfig. Something related to winnt32.exe You said it was a virus on your computer. Perhaps I have the same. What antivirus do you use, and if you remember...what is the name of the virus you said you had? thanks for your help Oscar Buenos Aires Argentina. |
