Please help!
I have had a dual boot system for 4 or 5 years now. my operating systems of choice now are Windows 2k and Xp. I have loaded them in the correct sequence older version to most recent. In the past this has always worked until 7 months ago. Now when i get to the win xp install it locks up during installing device drivers. It locks up at this spot everytime. I have changed the motherboard in the last 6 months and still have the same problem. My main drive has 3 partitions. I have a 1 gig of memory. I have ran a diagnostic on my memory and the hardware in general. No problems have been found. I have changed the memory since as well. What could be causing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Have you run Scandisk and used memtest86 to test your memory? How big and what brand is your PSU?
Have you tried stripping everything out of it and installing with one stick of RAM and only a vid card and HD, with a CPU of course?
