My friend just set up a new Windows XP machine at his office. This machine prints to several different laser printers. When he prints from this PC, it prints a banner on the top of every page, ie, the name of the printer, time, etc. How do you turn this banner off?

I think it depends on the printer. To my knowledge there is no universal setting in XP for adding headers.

On my Epson C-60 it's called a "separator page" it says it prints this a the beginning of each document to keep from getting mixed with other documents
Maybe you'll have to turn this off on all the printer on the pc check out the picture and see if you printer have something like this |

if he's on a netware network, under control panel, go to nsw (i think... it has those three letters in it for sure). that will have all of the settings for login scripts, as well as turning a print banner on and off.
