HP Pavilion - delayrun.exe
anyone have any experience good or bad about turning this thing off in msconfig? startup lists say it is normal file for hp computers. windows millenium restored with hp cd'z

Well, not much information good or bad out there on that file. Out of the five or six sites I saw it listed on, most were leaning to "not required". It seems that in some systems it helps at startup for timing issues.
Seems like it'd be safe to temporarily disable it with msconfig, and if no issues arise, you could remove it's entry from the "Run" or "Run Services" key (most likely in either LocalMachine or CurrentUser) . . . Gary |
