Hey guys,
I'm trying to install Windows XP PRO on my brother in laws PC. When I get to the "Installing windows" section (after the collecting info, dynamic update and preparing install" it BSOD's on me and I get the message: IRQL_NOT_LESS_EQUAL_TO and the system shuts down. It's during the "installing Devices process" It is using an Intel Celeron processor, 512mb of memory, Onboard video and sound. Mobo is a mocro atx with VIA chipset. Please help with any advice. Thanks |

Is this a new install or an upgrade from a previous operating system? Did you format the hard drive before beginning the install (preferably NTFS)?
