Angry Fire Where the heck are the music files!?!?!?

This is real strange. I'm trying to help a lady clean up her comp and get it back into good working order. She used WinMedia Player to put all of her CD music into her computer. I can not find any of the music files anywhere on the computer. They show up in Media Player, but nowhere else. Search turns up nothing. If I use Media Player to scan the HDD for audio, it comes up with all kinds of stuff. If I follow the path listed in the Properties for a certain song, I will find nothing in that folder at all. This is just plain weird.

That is odd. Do as i3OSS said and search for WMA files. It should turn up something. Also, try simply scrolling over in the media library and look at the path under the "File Name" column. I don't know if it's any different than the properties but it's worth a try.

Try this. Open WMP, at the top click on tools/options, then click the "copy music" tab. The location listed there is where music is stored when it is loaded thru WMP.

Already tried all that fellas. Thanks anyway. I have a feeling somebody deleted the file that the music was stored in. This lady has a real bad habbit of sharing her comp with all the grandkids, her hubby, and anybody else who might care to use it. This is exactly the reason that I am the ONLY person whos uses my comp. LOL.
