Internet explorer Problems
Greetings!
Recently had my computer off the wall with viruses including bagel, mitsgleider (or something like that) and sasser.. I used Panda to rid myself of most of them, but one of them will still not allow me to get to mcafee.com, symantec, etc. Ok - anyhow, let's get to the point. I have 3 users on my computer. My name is fine, however - on the other 2 users anytime they are browsing in internet explorer, any popup that comes up will close the window they are looking at. It seems it will only allow one browser, which is incredibly frusterating. Anyone know how to fix this, or my lil' virus problem? david |

Welcome to PCMECH!
If you can, go to www.mozilla.com and download firefox and install it. now run firefox, and go onto google.com and search and download spybot search and destroy aswell as adaware once you get both programs installed, update them both and run a complete spyware scan and remove any spyware found also run immunize with spybot search and destroy after that is all set and done, go to www.trendmicro.com and run their free online virus scanner to remove any viruses or worms present on your system for situations like this, you should always have a scanner working in the background..one great scanner that I suggest that is free is AVG, you can get it from grisoft..just google it after that is done, get all critical updates from M$ |

Also try spyware guard/blaster www.javacoolsoftware.com
personaly I prefer avast over AVG www.avast.com but if your willing to pay you should get NOD32 www.nod32.com Just to let you know, dont use a europe server to update spybot caus they will freeze the program.

With XP, you have to run the scanners in EACH profile.
