Question MSN messenger problems

Problems:
I cannot remove it. I am not using outlook,OE/IE, but its still there.

Seceond: I don't see it in the taskbar, but I get this pop-ups saying I have mail. How to stop that pop-uos, and stop it running without me knowing.

The only time I use the messenger is when there are around 10 mails, so that the browser opens automatically without me having to go through the username/password site.

Another trick to remove it, is do a search for messenger.exe and rename to something like messenger_.exe.

Good luck!

I don't want to remove it, just make it inactive for most of the time. I use eprompter, some web emails, I need t o open the browser. The pop ups is still there. Screensaver, games, it keeps irritating me. Something like clipy from office

The trick I gave you will not remove it, but will stop from giving popups.
