startup error
Hey All,
I have not rebooted my PC in about a month, and when I did, I got this error message at boot up after I logged in. I only remember installing programs like WINAMP and like a DIVX player....I cannot even find the \install directory inside the \temp folder..anybody know how to remove this from starting up? I Do not have anything in my startup folder. This is what it says "Cannot find the file 'C OCUME~1/ADMINI~1.xxx/LOCALS~1/Temp/Install/setup.exe'(or one of it's components) Make sure the path and file name are correct and that all required ibrraries are availableThanks! Edit: I rebooted the PC and the message no longer came up. Last edited by Markoman01027; 05-11-2004 at 11:42 AM. |

Sounds like you had an incomplete install of something, or you installed something then uninstalled it without a reboot in between. The reference was probably in one of the runonce keys in the registry.
