fqpissed reoccurring file

I tried to copy my address list from hotmail and copy it to outlook express. I copied a file to my desk top, with the addresses. I couldn't get it into outlook, so I saved the file to my-doccuments for refference, and deleted the file off my desk top. The file keeps re-appering on the desk top with a file name of ~ and it is scrambled. I have deleted it several times and searched my computer for the file and deleted it wherever I could find it. It will go several days and then it re-appears again. I have scanned my computer for a virus , lates update, and find no virus. I have win 98se.

It does not seem to affect the performance of the computer. Any ideas?

Thanks:
Bryan

new discovery

Well I thought it worked but it didn't. I tried to change the path in which it saved the file. However I did discover that if you delete the shortcut for outlook express off of your desktop and just use the one in the tool bar it will fix the problem.

Thanks again
