Win98 to XP
Requesting a little help.. I know this has been posted b4, and many times most likely. I want to go from 98 to XP, and do a clean install. I would like kind of a step by step, starting with clearing out Win98, ie, do i delete the partition(how?), do i reformat the HD(how) I Just want to know eggsactly what to do so I don't get it goofed up. I've done 3.1, win95, and win98 thru the years so I'm not totally green.. So, pls make it simple, yet thorough, and complete, and I will thank you from the bottom of my heart.. Thanx rvking

Insert the Windows XP CD and boot from it. When you install, you will get the opportunity to partition and format. There is no need to do anything beforehand except back up the data you wish to save.

Thanx Doc, I don't have the "update" CD, just plain XP, home edition, that still work like you said??
