inadvertantly rearranged taskbar
While trying to remove some icons from the right of the task bar (near the clock) I inadvertantly did the following: I right clicked on a blank area of the taskbar, then went to toolbars, and then unclicked quick launch. This removed the icons just to the right of the start button on the task bar. Since I want these icons to remain I repeated the procedure and clicked on the quick launch. These icons reappeared on the taskbar only they now are right justified rather than left justified. That is, they are just to the left of the icons near the clock and when I run an application it appears to the right of the start menu while the quick launch icons are to their right rather than to their left. How can I move the quick launch icons back to being left justified and just to the right of the start button?

this is how I did it(sorry for helping ya to screw up your task bar
)Pull the lil verticle bar(that you use to slide the quick launch thing biiger and smaller) to the farthest left ya can. Then pull the lil verticle bar that is next to the start menu to the right, over the other verticle bar, and it should reallign to being on the right. Or at least I just did it several times that way. |

That did it. It must be a wrap-around. Thanks for the help.

To prevent the problem from recurring, right click your TaskBar and check "Lock The Taskbar" once you have your QuickLaunch toolbar where you want it.

Might not be in 2k... is for XP though.
Jeez... I really should get 2k and 98 should I ever be interested in A+ as it seems they are all much different then what I am used to(XP for the past year about, since I got the comp). And used to Mac's before... I just feel outa it ![]() PS-What version you got again? I only see windows 2000 as Windows 2000 Server($1000) and Windows 2000 Pro($290). That seem's like a crap load of money for an OS...

Probably Windows 2000 Pro. There were only those two versions.
And yes, Roberto, my apologies, that option only exists in Windows XP. I failed to realize you were on Win2K. It's been about a year since I've used it myself. |
