Help - do I need to reinstall windows?
Hi, my brother has had many problems with his PC that I have been trying to sort out. Most recently he had the coolsearch
program that hijacked his home page. I downloaded WSShredder to get rid of it - it seemed to work but now when he logs on it's says that C:\windows\system32\services\services.exe is missing and he has no internet access at all now. I thought I would copy this file from my own PC but and put it back on his - but I don't even seem to have the services directory. I'm thinking of re-installing windows but wonderd if anyone has any better ideas? Thanks in advance, Chris |

Hi hobbes,
Welcome to PC Mechanic !! ![]() I don't have that directory, either. There seems to still be a strart up reference to the file. Look in the Start Up folder. Running spyware checkers, like SpyBot, may find and fix this probelm also. HTH TwoRails |

That's a weird path name. Do a full virus check at Trend Micro or with your own fully updated virus scanner.
