XP Pro Gateway Version
I recently got a Gateway with XP Pro on it. It came with an Operating System disk that says "For distribution with a new Gateway PC only." Will there be any problems using that disk to install XP Pro on my Dell and E Machines which are both running XP Home? Thanks for the help.

the main problem would be that you only have one license for windows xp pro, and you'd be trying to run it on three machines. that's a big no no.
i think you also hit some problems since it's not a normal bootable disc. it may check your bios to make sure you have a gateway machine before it even starts up the installation.

No you cant because its ONE system PER COMPUTER and since the Gateway computer will still have XP you CAN NOT legally do that.

Not possible, both physically and legally. Your Gateway CD is only licensed to that Gateway computer, and it will not install if it doesn't see a Gateway bios.
