What do you mean? The quick launch box shifts to the left of the taskbar or your icons move around? Do you have a pic?

The quick launch icons in the bar keep shifting...not the bar it self.

Eg. The first icon in my bar is "Show Desktop". The next day the "Show Desiktop" icon goes to the end (Shifts) and the icon that was 2nd "Outlook" is now the first Icon. Then the next day Outlook goes to the end and the Icon that was to the right of it becomes 1st....so on and so on.....

It keeps shifting every other day.

Any ideas?

right click on the taskbar and click "lock taskbar" and see if that helps

Right click on the task bar. Select properties. At the very bottom, uncheck: hide inactive icons.

Linda, unless there's something I'm not aware of, that only hides and unhides inactive systray icons, it doesn't affect the quicklaunch at all.

I'd suggest a virus scan; the icons shouldn't be shifting randomly unless there is something causing them to do so.
