The 'Log On to Windows' screen comes up on my Windows 2000 O/S when It was not previously setup. I believe it has something to do with me trying to setup wifi on my laptop. At this point I can not log into my desktop as I do not have a password setup for this computer.
Any idea how I can get aroung this Log On screen?

Try logging on as adminstrator. If you dont know that then your looking at a format.

Did you try booting in Safe Mode? See if you can delete the logon there.
