DOS command file help needed

I would like to put together a batch file to compare the contents of a directory. In the directory are a number of .cnv files and a matching .xml file. In some cases the .xml file is not there. I would like to have a batch file that I can run to display the name of each .cnv file that does not have a matching .xml file. Is this possible? Thanks for your help!
