fqpissed Another Outlook/Outlook Exp. Question

I just converted over to Outlook from Outlook express, imported all my addresses and all is well except I'm not recieving any mail. It's still going to outlook express.
I am able to send just fine.

What did I do wrong?

I would say Outlook Express is still your default mail program. When you open Outlook will it show a text box asking if you want to make it your default mail program, if so tick the check box and you should be all set.

Bummer, I thought I had this thing working but -
It isn't.

I have Outlook set as my default mail program and these are my settings and how I set them.

open Outlook, click on tools, click on e-mail account, click on View or Change.

In that window I see Account name "pop.west.cox.net"
Account type "POP/SMPT (Default)

I click on Change/View and in this window I see

User information: my name and email address
Login information: my user name and password
Server information: POP and SMTP settings

I then click on test settings and it passes.

I then go out and send myself a test email to see if it comes thru and IT DOES NOT.

If I go to Outlook express, it is recieved and I can read it.

What the heck is going on??????

Thanks all

In your server information check your settings. Road runner requires putting in pop-server and smpt-server . Not sure what your ISP requires might have to check with them.

You can find your .pst file & point your new outlook to that & that should take care of it. The .pst file is the file outlook used to store all of your email stuff such as contacts, setings & such.

couldn't find a .pst file.

Screw it - I'll stay with Outlook express. It works fine.
