favourites icons

Dear Forum guys and girls,

yesterday, in my favourites list of Internet Explorer (and i have only one installed) the original icons of the sites were all replaced by the default internet icon.

does somebody know how to restore the original icons?

It is maybe not a big deal, but i found those icons easy for locating a link

thanks

Send a message via ICQ to RJ
They get erased when you empty the cache.
If you want to keep the icons then you need to save them in a safe place, and assign the links to the stored icons.

When you go to Extras > Folder Options, Settings, you can set the size of the cache.
I believe when the cache is full, then the oldest files will be erased to free space for new files.
So even though you didn't erase the cache manually, the files got deleted.

The icon you're referring to are called "favicons" and, as RJ said, they're temporary files.

If you want to make them permanent, instructions for doing that are on this page along with a link to download a program to do the work for you.
