py258,
Look into this site for "services" that can be set to manual or disabled. http://www.blackviper.com/index.html If your pc has "started to get slow then there may be something else causing it. Could be time for scans with Adaware, Spybot S&D , and a updated A/V. Carl |

I've went through the list and I've disabled all that I could. It still seems like theres a lot of processes still running. Right now, it says that 40 processes are running, PF Usage at 180 MB (I don't really know what that means), and CPU usage around 2%.
So is this "normal" for XP? I'm still used to 98 where I could close all background programs except Explorer and Systray... |
